It’s funny how things work out. I bought these mirrors knowing precisely where I wanted to put them (above the night tables, on each side of the bed). I also bought this mirror below (another $10 Goodwill find) having no idea where I’d put it. I actually found this one first.
[Side note: This is a glimpse into a room that has not yet been seen on the blog. That frottage wall treatment is in my kitchen. The kitchen will be going through a renovation in a just a little while so I’ll soon be filling you in on it’s past, present, and future.]
I didn’t love the two matching mirrors against the board and batten so I swapped those two out and put this one in. I must like to pretend that I don’t have enough things to paint already so, of course, I wanted to paint the latest mirror before hanging it in the room. I imposed a rule this time: only paint it a color I already have. Here’s how it ended up.
Do you recognize the color? It’s Martha Stewart’s Cornbread – the same can used to paint the front door. Here are a few more shots to show you how things are looking in the room with the bedside mirrors removed and this new mirror added.
I really like the clean, uninterrupted lines of the board and batten and with this new mirror we’re still reflecting all sorts of light from the window across the room and the lamps.
I finally put the first coat of glossy white on the four doors in the room too. I ran out of paint though! And then I got sick with a sore throat and cold. But at least there’s progress!

I like the color and placement. I too didn’t like the interrupted lines of the other two mirrors.
That mirror is gorgeous, as is the rest of the bedroom! I love the wall color.
Love the mirror in the ms color but the room, oh my, gorgeous!!
