It’s a long weekend so I thought I’d pop in with a Saturday post! We’ve both been off from work since last Friday so it’s been a great week. Yesterday, I spent some time catching up on a few small projects.
For the Pinterest challenge I made this chalkboard.
In my excitement to get it done I never bothered to read the instructions on the back of the can of paint. It clearly states you should wait 24 hours before writing on your new chalkboard. Oops. Since I didn’t read any of that until just recently, when I went to use my board for a new message (and erased my Pinterest Challenge sign) I experienced what they call burn-in. My Pinterest Challenge message seemed to be permanently burned into the paint. I had a little paint left so I used it to respray the affected area. I let it dry for 24 hours and then I ‘seasoned’ it like so.
Glad this was easy enough to fix and that I still had some left over paint. The reminder today is: RIF (reading is fundamental). 🙂 Enjoy this weekend!
