One of my lovely readers is on a mission to make her space a place she loves. She sent in this picture for ideas on window treatments.
So, I collected a few pictures to inspire. I love the drama of a wall of luxurious curtains.
I also really love the many options for roman shades (here and here).
Here are examples of curtains hung VERY high (here and here).
Erin, over at House of Earnest, recently updated her bedroom window treatments and used an extra piece of wood to mount the blinds and curtain high above the window. You can check it out here.
Along with adding molding, I think variations of any of these treatments would work for this window.
Any other ideas? Would love to hear what you’d do with such a window!

I really love the idea of hanging curtians really high. With all of that ceiling height, you could do some amazing things! Here is one of my favorite pics of high drapery!

Thanks for the shout out 🙂
I love drapery hung high. It really makes a statement in a room.
Thanks for your input!
I have always loved going high on window treatment. It gives the room more presence.
Roman shades make a room more modern and cleaner while panels add luxury.
Can’t go wrong with either one. Roman shade probably less expensive because to add drama to panels you have more yardage- more yardage more moolah.
I have the same type of windows in my bedroom and need a solution. I’d love to see what this reader did with the room!
