I seem to have a small obsession with glass bottles. I want them. Without knowing what I’ll do with them or where I’ll put them, I still want them. I saw one at a yard sale last Sunday. It beckoned me over when I first got out of the car. I asked how much it was. $9. It had no chance of not coming home with me. It was marked “morph recycled glass”. It looks like something Z Gallerie had awhile back. But bigger. You can see it’s the same height as the carboy.
I LOVE IT.
And found at the same yard sale: a preserved boxwood wreath. I’ve wanted something preserved boxwood: a ball, a wreath, a topiary, something. It will last beyond the current season and it’s a real plant. You must mist and keep out of direct sunlight. This is perfect since most of my windows are north facing and I don’t get a ton of sunlight anyway. I saw them here for much more than the $5 I paid.
Do you have preserved boxwood? Is it really that easy to maintain? and how long does it last?

I have recently had the same obsession with glass vases/bottles/etc. I haven’t bought any because we are in the process of upgrading our living room furniture and I have no idea where I’d put it. Every time I see any in a store, I can’t help but go straight toward it. 🙂
You are so disciplined to not buy!
Glass bottles, vases are always a drawing to the eye and we must look, as in our case we have no room. Right now our living room is crammed with sewing desk, machine and serger plus the regular living room furniture and doo dads
I’ve been drawn to glass bottles of late as well. Have found a few good deals at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I really like the ones with a very subtle hint of blue and green.
Oh my goodness, I’ve been wanting some of this! I have very little natural light in my house so I’d love to get a small topiary or something that could go on my mantle for a pop of green and nature.
