In many cases, the front entry isn’t really a room but it’s still the first introduction to a home. Front porches are visible from the street, to anyone passing by, and they prepare the visitor for what’s to come inside.
My parents have a small covered patio area at the front door and my mom has made it look so inviting with a few small, inexpensive touches that definitely inspire!
Overturned pots filled with flowers welcome you in.
The walkway up to the home is plain concrete, but the patio is tiled with slate (which they did themselves), and looks great! Definitely an improvement from boring concrete.
I love the small, cute bench and the pillows that pop. It’s also easy to change them out when you want a new look or color scheme.
And look, there’s a little succulent arrangement there. Succulents are just so cute and lush.
On the left side of the walkway with the overturned pots is this rosemary plant. I am always so amazed when I see it because the one I planted at my house a year ago is still the same size (tiny)! This one is GIGANTIC!
Creating a welcoming front entry doesn’t have to be expensive, it can be as simple as a few beautiful plants placed near the door. Have you spruced up anything outdoors this spring?

Very nice! I bet that rosemary smells delish as you walk up… quite the welcome. 🙂

The slate tiles look great and you’re right the pop of color with the pillows really adds a lot. Being easy to switch out means that it’s not too big of a commitment.
