My sister’s recent decision to purchase a red couch got me thinking about how to decorate a room with a such a bold, large piece. I started thinking of coordinating colors: gray, black & white, navy.
These three rooms have different styles, but all seem to have the right idea. The red isn’t over powering and the accessories complement not compete.

I like the idea of using those favorite pillows I recently mentioned and perhaps black & white in a rug as well.
Are you a fan of red? How about red couches? Or couches in colors other than neutrals?

the grays in the first pick look really great! that is something i would actually use and want in my house. the others look very colorful. i am doing red and i am going to try black and white to go with it but not the way they did in the second picture. i think they enhanced the red with that rug in front of it. i guess they were going for a busy, eclectic look. the third picture is very nice, warm, not to busy or bold, but bright and colorful. it’s not something i would choose for my own house but it’s very nice.
I have three red couches. Obviously a fan.
