Awhile back, I mentioned how I like to get cuttings and branches from the yard to add some greenery and life to a room. I usually bring in a cutting from the fern or camelia bushes because I like the leaves. Last month, the oleanders started blooming so I snipped off a branch to bring in doors. It’s probably been about 6 weeks since I first put it in water and I noticed it did not seem to be withering/dying.
That’s because it’s rooted in water! How cool. I didn’t know oleanders rooted that easily.
Today, you’ll find me guest posting about our kitchen remodel over at View Along the Way. Kelly has shared some great ideas on her blog. Check it out!

That oleander root is so cool! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous kitchen today. BTW, Bob Vila nation asked to share it on their site too, so hopefully you’ll get some extra clicks that way too! 🙂 http://nation.bobvila.com/post/gorgeous-kitchen-overhaul-guest-post-design-ocd
This is one of my favorite ways to bring some life indoors too without spending a lot of money! I think the roots look really cool!
I love it!
sometimes i can get the desired results. other times it’s just delaying tactic to adding it to the compost. a green thumb i did not get from my grandmother.
