I have created a couple of mood boards recently and for the first time, I got to see how the room turned out and now share it with you! Last month, I created a colorful office design board after a reader was inspired by my own office makeover. Her office already had all the main pieces (that had to stay in the room), but she found it drab and uninspiring and was ready to make a change. This is a space she shares with her daughter and she wanted it to be a bright space for both of them to work in.
Here’s how it looked before. The colors were definitely not vibrant and the space looked a little uninviting.
To refresh your memory, here’s the mood board I created.
The homeowner used items she already had and only bought paint and fabric to update the space. She unified and renewed old frames with a fresh coat of paint and recovered corkboards and a chair with fun fabric. Here’s how it all turned out:
She did a great job and definitely achieved her goal of a colorful, inspiring space that makes her happy. The power of paint never ceases to amaze me.
Have you transformed anything with paint lately? Or have you used what you already had to create a new look?
