I painted the antique dresser in the guest bedroom. I bought this dresser several years ago at a crowded antique shop. It is old but the drawers still function quite well. Someone before me had already painted it a creamy off white and that finish worked in the old blue bedroom.
But since I repainted the walls and added navy fabric to the room, I figured the dresser might as well go dark too. I used the same method I mentioned in this previous post. The color is Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy. It’s been fun to bring in bold, whether they be bright or dark, colors through accessories to this room with white walls. Everything seems to stand out more.
For a little fun, I added gold to the feet. I love small details like that!
That’s also my second touch of gold in the house (the first one being the tumbler that went glam).
What updates have you made lately? What are your favorite small details in your home?

Love the navy + gold dipped feet!
I must be in a phase – I want to dip everything in gold!
lOVE IT!
I love this….the gold really sets it off.
This looks great. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones! I would love for you to visit me and see the centerpiece at my Thanksgiving table 🙂 I am visiting you from Savvy Southern Style!
How cute! I love navy and when I do my master bedroom it will be tan with navy accents. The gold dipped feet make the piece. They really do. Love it!
