I love monograms. So, with the last few gifts I’ve given, I’ve used letters atop the wrapped gift instead of a bow. At first I used foam letters found in the $1 bin at Target. They had adhesive backs so I just had to stick the letter on the paper. I recently found some letters made of MDF at Michael’s and used a fuzzy yarn to tie the letter around the package.
I kept the golden finish it came in, but you could always paint the letter a fun color to coordinate with the wrapping paper of your choice. It’s such a nice way to further personalize the gift. Have you ever used something other than a bow when wrapping a gift?

Love that idea. I think I’ll have to do the same for under my tree this year.
Cool Idea! Thanks.
