I’ve been meaning to share a few items I’ve picked up over the last few months. They are small and inexpensive but add some nice touches around the house.
I found a piece of marble at Goodwill. With the addition of some glued on footing it’s now a great serving piece. You could even make a lazy susan out of a piece of stone.
Speaking of serving pieces, I liked the silvery shine of this faux birch server from Target. It’s listed as $16.99 online but I found it on clearance for $5 so I brought it home. It’s a great piece to elevate serving dishes, such as a salad bowl, on the table.
I just shoved those little succulents in the picture because I got 3 in a package on sale from Target at the same time. I don’t have any other faux plants (read all about the real houseplants here and here) but I really like the look of green succulents and wanted one for the bathroom shelving. I’ve tried a real plant in the half bath and due to the lack of sunlight they have not survived.
The other set of bathroom shelves got a little update too. A friend brought me a handmade plate from Romania and I added it to the guest bathroom shelving. People are so talented!
Lastly, I picked up a small, white pedestal bowl at Goodwill for under $2. It has a great shape. I decided to use it on my night table to hold and have easy access to the jewelry I wear often.
I’ve found some other interesting things at Goodwill recently but they aren’t ready to use as is so I’ll share more when I complete those projects. Have you run across any good deals or found any unique items lately?
