I’d forgotten what a workout it is to do something overhead, like painting or in my case, cleaning a ceiling. Our screened porch ceiling and fan had quite a bit of mildew and grime. Inspiration hit me one Sunday afternoon because I finally decided to clean it.
I used a long push broom, water, and soap and scrubbed the ceiling and then rinsed. You can see the blue sky and white clouds a little better now. For the ceiling fan, I just used Clorox wipes and paper towels to wipe it down.
That same day, I also added two accessories to our newly updated outdoor space. I found the two sided (turquoise on one side, lime green on the other) outdoor pillows at Marshall’s and a silver ceramic garden stool at HomeGoods. I wasn’t specifically looking for silver, but it’s a cool touch out here.
Can you see that chopped bamboo in the background? We need a panda to visit our backyard for a feast. Here’s to a peaceful weekend!

Lovin that silver garden stool….really kicks everything up a notch or three. You are a better woman than me…cause that ceiling fan would have been so “ba-bye”…but what a difference a little elbow grease and some rubber gloves makes….I’d say Sunday afternoon well spent!
