Do you make decor changes around the house for winter? Other than switching out a few accessories on the mantel in the living room, I don’t. But I moved my new cowhide rug to the master bathroom. It seemed like an outrageous idea at first: cowhide in a bathroom?? But I did it because it is winter. And the bathroom floor is cooooold. And this was the only small-ish rug I had to try out in there.
I just wanted something to cover more surface area so I wouldn’t have to feel as much of that cold tile floor. It works and it’s cute.
This room is not finished. It’s been in limbo for a couple of years. [See some of the transformation here and here] There are several things to address like light fixtures and an unpainted wall behind the toilet. Now I’m kinda over the changes I made at first, like the textured walls, and may need to start over. We’ll see.
In the meantime, the rug is working out great.

I’m hoping I can fit one of my cowhides in a bath. The room might not be wide enough, but it would really make it pop!
Smart idea. changing of the rugs is a semiannual affair in the master bath for me…like the changing of the guard…and it takes 7 or 8 regulation sizes
to keep my feet from hitting the tiles. If I could ever manage to get the master bath makeover I’ve been dreaming of forever, radiant flooring would be pretty near the top of my list of must haves for that space…
