It’s the end of the year and just as I did last year, I’ve reviewed the projects I’ve tackled along with looking at stats to see what readers have most enjoyed. Here’s a quick glance at the top five most popular blog projects for the year. In this case, popularity is being determined by page views. So let’s begin the countdown!
5. Our Guest Bathroom
Our guest bathroom is tiny, only 5ft x 7ft. It has come a long way from where it was when we first moved in. I shared ideas for small bathrooms in a post this summer.
4. Gilded Agate Coasters
I had a lot of fun using gold leaf throughout the year. This particular application was so easy, and I ended up framing the coasters and hanging them in our master bedroom.
Here’s another easy gold leaf project. The end result of this project was basically a knock off of West Elm’s metallic lacquer trays for only a fraction of the price!
As is often the case for many at the beginning of the year, I got the urge to organize and cleaned up a couple of hidden spaces in our home. This post detailed how a small insert from Ikea helped make our kitchen medicine cabinet a little better.
This was was one of those ‘why did I wait so long to do this?’ projects. This year I finally addressed the dingy basement entry way. It is such a small space without any natural light and I used things we already had (mostly just paint!) to update it. The tiny stairway is our primary entry point to the home, so I’m so glad it’s much more welcoming.
So, that’s the top five for 2013. To my surprise, there were several other older posts (written in 2011 and 2012) that became very popular this year too along with some kind features from other bloggers and sites.
You can see all projects from this year and past years (including last year’s top projects) on the Projects page. As usual, time just seems to be flying by. I continue to enjoy the connections made through blogging and look forward to another year of fun projects and accomplishments. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
