Summertime brings with it warm weather and new fresh fruits in season. I look forward to the plentiful supply of watermelon during the summer and was eager to try out this recipe that calls for two favorites: watermelon + wine!
I ended up not making the recipe as stated and changed it up a little. Here’s my version for you to try!
Watermelon Sangria
2 cups watermelon, cubed and cold
2 cups pineapple, cubed and cold
1 bottle dry white sherry
1 lime, sliced thin
1 bottle (750ml) sparkling Moscato (I used Emeri’s pink moscato)
1/2 can frozen limeade
In a pitcher, add the pineapple and cold watermelon cubes and the sherry. Add 8 to 10 slices of lime. Add the Moscato and limeade. Stir with wooden spoon to mix. Pour into ice-filled glasses and top each glass with a couple pieces of watermelon and a lime slice. Enjoy!

I’m usually stuck in the drinks department, but I might have to give this one a try this summer. Sounds good!
I love trying new concoctions. Let me when you try it!
