I finally switched out the bakers rack in the kitchen! I have been on the lookout to replace this piece for several years since our kitchen remodel.
The old look is below. The bakers rack fit in with the rustic, somewhat french country style of my old kitchen but definitely looked out of place in the modern, crisp feel of our current kitchen.
I first saw this piece on another site, but ended up ordering it for less on Amazon. I had it all out of the shipping box and assembled in under an hour. The étagère is lightweight but has six solid wood shelves which gives me more space! And it does not have a built in rack for wine like a bakers rack does, but that’s okay! The wine all fits on the bottom shelf.
The étagère stores both things I love to look at and functional pieces we use regularly: our fruit bowl resides here. I also bought a few white storage containers to stash some of the smaller items that, when left out, just made the shelves feel cluttered. I love the straight, streamlined lines of this piece in our space.

It is so versatile it would also work well in an office, living room, or bathroom!

Love the new shelf…. The straight lines does blend with your current design.
Thanks! So much better, right?!
Love it!
