Bedroom Evolution

I mentioned a bedroom project coming up so I thought I’d share some before pics of the master bedroom in preparation for the changes coming.

The master bedroom was originally a light mint green with old worn carpet and not white trim.

The first thing we did was replace the carpet with Pergo flooring.  That may be odd in a bedroom for some, but the less carpet in the house, the better for me.  This floor stands up well to wear and tear too.

I painted the walls the color of milk chocolate but this was before I paid attention to design and commitment to following through so I never quite finished.    Originally, we had the bed I purchased before we were married.  It was a four poster bed from the Bombay Company. I still love four poster beds.  Look at those too small night tables though. And there’s that ugly brown lamp.

Just this year we moved up to a king size (this one is a sleigh style) and it seems luxurious to have the extra room.

I’ve been ready for a change from the chocolate walls. I want to lighten the room up. I started with white bedding but I’m going to carry it further. Check out how it all turned out here!
