Did you see this picture from my post about Scott’s last weekend?
What are those big, feathered bowl-looking things? They’re hats made by the Bamileke tribe in Cameroon. They’re handmade from feathers and have been used recently in interior decor. I think they’re pretty and fabulous. They are more form over function, though, so the price seems a bit over the top for me. I’ve seen them priced from $300-600. The ones at Scott’s were $300.
Here are a few in action.
Are you a fan of the juju hat?

They are truly delightful additions to the decor in all of the spaces featured here..but when I see them, all I can think is DUST!! And I agree that the price is a bit over the top for the average person looking to design on a dime.
Where have I been that I have never seen these hats before?! They are amazing! Surely, there is a cheaper way! I am going to have to work on that!
I saw those at Scott’s….and was afraid to ask the price….I have never seen them for under 300.00! Glad to know they were out of my price range 🙂
