It’s always fun to look back and see what’s been accomplished over a period of time. I did a super duper comprehensive recap of the year already but also wanted to share an easy reading, quick glance version of the top five most popular projects for the year. In this case, popularity is being determined by page views. So let’s begin the countdown!
5. Refresh Your Grout
Thanks to making a mistake of using the wrong color grout with a tile flooring repair, I discovered a product that helped me update our bathroom flooring. Just a little bit of effort made a big difference!
4. DIY Office Accessories
Making over our home office was one of my favorite projects this year. I challenged myself to improve our home office using the things we already have and I did it! This post detailed how I updated thrifty finds to make a bold statement in the new room.
3. Guest Bedroom Makeover
The DIY headboard that currently resides in the guest room is the project I am most proud of this year. It wasn’t hard or complicated, but it just makes such a huge difference for the resources spent. That headboard and hot pink curtains, that inspired the whole thing, are featured in the reveal of our guest bedroom makeover.
2. Closet Organization
Here’s another project inspired by the Pinterest Challenge, this time the summer edition. I replaced all the mismatched wire hangers with wooden hangers (from Ikea) and arranged my clothes by color. This was an easy project with big impact and best of all, it worked. I’ve kept it organized and looking good since then.
1. Kitchen Makeover
This was a big one! The room was completely gutted and put back together in a little less than a month. And guess what? Not only do I have a great kitchen I love, after it was done, Better Homes & Gardens came out for a photo shoot! I’m still not sure when the issue will be out but it should be sometime in the spring.
So that’s the top five, but there were many more projects completed this year and you can check them all (including last year’s top projects) out on the Projects page. It really is amazing how time flies. I’ve enjoyed the connections made through blogging and look forward to another year of fun projects and accomplishments. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
